Safe Systems of Work and Method Statements
The findings from risk assessment need to be translated into effective safe systems of work to ensure work activities are to be suitably planned and controlled. Safe systems of work used in the construction industry are often called ‘Method Statements’.
The content of a safe system of work should take into account specific requirements to ensure that all aspects of the activity are adequately dealt with and that the hazards and risks are adequately controlled.JDA Safety has experience in working with Clients to ensure that suitable safe systems of work / method statements are developed for their work activities.
JDA Safety also provides Clients with training on how to write and assess safe systems of work / method statements. This enables those responsible for work activities to plan and document their method of work correctly and to review the adequacy of safe systems of work provided by others.
